At one time or another, we need a safety or warning sign for whatever reason. During one of my recent internet searches for signage I came across a web site which provides you the ability to make your own signs online. It is called “Safety Sign Builder“, by St. Claire Inc. (A Technical Communications Company). When you visit the site, by clicking the “Get It Here” button below, you will see on the right side of the page, the link for “Sign Builder”. Once you click on the link the “Safety Sign Builder 2.0” will load in your browser. At this point, it is a step-by-step process to creating your sign. You can also click on various “catalog” buttons to view header and pictogram options. There is a little bit of learning curve to this, but once you get the hang of it, you will be making your own signs with little effort. The only requirements to making your signs is that you sign up for an account (which is free & easy) and that you have software on your PC to read PDF files (i.e. Adobe Acrobat). Below is a thumbnail example of a safety sign that I created using the web-based safety sign builder.
