  1. So…as i suspected. Something’s gone wrong with Firefox. I’ve already shifted to Chrome and Opera about 1 week ago.
This post was a stunning revelation Rick.

  2. FF would suddenly disappear and when I try to open it again, it takes me a lot of maneuvering for hours before it comes back! It’s weird Rick.
I noticed too that whenever I restart my pc, a new set of programs would be on. All is on and off!! lol
You see, my laptop VAIO is 4 years old and running on just XP Home.
It’s like driving a battered but reliable truck.
I wonder how I manage to keep it running! lol

  3. Pochp,

I also have a laptop VAIO that runs on WinXP, and it’s 8 years old! Still, FF runs okay on my machine,

  4. Pochp,

Follow Bill’s lead on this; I was suspecting the same thing. The clue I’m seeing is that you are reporting seeing a “new set of programs” appear which is typical of a malware infection.

  5. I’ve tried different AV’s and the worst grade I got was that there’s a minor 7% threat- 93% clean.
Isn’t it possible that Microsoft itself is the culprit?
I just uninstalled Windows Defender and now it’s back to normal!
