I do carry a Facebook account; however, I do not do Facebook in the sense that other people do Facebook. I carry it for purposes of driving traffic to my blogs AND for purposes of seeing just how crazy people can get in revealing their lifestyles, behavior, likes/dislikes, locations, etc… With Facebook, and any of the social magnet sites, you are profiling yourself and revealing your soul in a manner that it can become a haunting.

This portion of the article (see below), especially caught my attention, due that this is the State I reside and I am very familiar with the State Government (having worked in a public safety capacity for State Government for over 31 years).

In Maryland, job seekers applying to the state’s Department of Corrections have been asked during interviews to log into their accounts and let an interviewer watch while the potential employee clicks through wall posts, friends, photos and anything else that might be found behind the privacy wall.  READ MORE

Folks, I’ve been doing computers for years and have a great understanding on data storage and the internet.  I don’t care what these online services say that they will do to protect your information and privacy, it is all at risk. The information is potentially accessible from the service provider’s end and from your end.  Once it is out there, it is out there!
