Been following the tech news this week and discovered that Google has a feature in place that will give you the ability to locate your phone if you lose it.
You will need a Google account; and, appears Google Chrome installed on your computer that is logged into your account. My first go round with this I went to Google, typed in “find my phone” and sure enough Google started looking for my phone (see screenshot below); HOWEVER, first go round, Google could not locate my phone. After some troubleshooting I discovered that I needed Google’s Location Service turned “ON” on the phone. After turning on the location service, in less than a minute Google located the phone within 74 feet. There was also an option to “ring” the phone; which I tested and it worked. I can see using that feature to locate the phone if I suspect I misplaced or lost it nearby (such as in the house).
