  1. Hey There Rick, How in the world are you. I hope all is well

I just attempted to download the downloader tool, and Norton stopped it and said it was harmful….is this a false alarm?

    1. Erik,

Tool is perfectly fine (false positive from Norton). You may also run into a false positive detection during the install, as well. Site information had the following on this:

Q: My anti virus software flags the download tool as malware.
A: The download tool uses techniques such as manipulating secure websites to create the download links, therefore some tools flag it as a false positive. We regularly have the anti virus vendors whitelist our tool. If your anti virus software still flags it, please contact us with details which anti virus software you use, and which version of our download tool is affected.

Doing well here… Glad to see you here on the blog. I’ve slowed down posting on the blog due to other involvements; however, just found a way to post material that will make it much quicker/easier. Hoping to be posting more…

      1. I thought that might be the case. But thought I would check with you first. I installed the WiseCare Utility that you posted as well. It worked great for me. Thanks for sharing all this good stuff! Glad you are doing well.

      2. Just an update. I never did get back to it, but just downloaded it, and Norton no longer flags it as harmful, but as safe. I had another software question for you, Rick, but I couldn’t find your contact info.
