A Nice Android Screen Capture and Photo Markup Tool

Grabbing a screenshot on an Android device, such as a smartphone or tablet, can be a pain in the droid…

Typically, you can hold down the power button and volume down button simultaneously to perform a screen capture; however, on a phone like mine, that maneuver is quite difficult. Besides, if you are not familier with using an Android file manager, locating the file is another frustration.

The solution is an app that is designed to perform screen captures. Today, I tried quite a few of them; five of them to be exact; and, the one I settled on was one called Screen Master. What I really like about this app is that it is FREE; has a small size less than 5 MBs; no rooting is required; can crop captured images; can easily share whatever it is you capture; and, with the photo markup tool you can add text, arrows, circles, and even turn the captured area into a shape (such as a heart)… As a matter of fact, you can use the photo markup tool to work with existing photos on your device.

Screen Master has a mid level learning curve, but once you get the hang of using Screen Master you will wonder why something like this is not already built into Android.

    1. Fish,

I am not seeing that either (scroll capture). I did see that in another screen capture app I tried; however, I don’t remember which one. Many of the others had too many ads for me.
